Tips for Your Visit

Some simple suggestions to put you at ease…

What to bring. What to wear.

We will provide a robe, slippers and a locker for your belongings.

We also have a shower facility with shampoo, conditioner, hair dryers, curling irons, etc. The only thing you need to bring is your hairbrush and comb. If you need a special mousse or hair item, please bring that too.

If you’re getting a pedicure, bring a pair of sandals.

Toes take longer to dry than fingers.

What do I wear under my robe?

Whatever you wish. It’s best to remove your underwear to protect it from getting oiled. Remember, your technician is a professional and will keep you covered in the appropriate areas.

When won’t I change into a robe and slippers?

If you’re getting one service, for example, a facial, then we’ll have you change in the room. We don’t change for nail services.

Lock your jewelry (rings, watches, diamond earrings, etc.) in the locker. It will be secure. Don’t slip it into your robe pocket — it’s too easy to forget!

Contact lenses:

A general purpose saline solution is available on the sinks of all our locker rooms. Make sure to remove your contact lenses before a microdermabrasion treatment.

Large bags, computers, etc.:

Please don’t bring anything irreplaceable! Large items may not fit in your locker and we can’t be responsible for their security. Leave them at home or lock them in your car trunk.

If you are pregnant or nursing…

We have a special pillow for massages.

Please request it when you book your appointment. We’ll have it set up and waiting for you.

The herbal body wrap is not recommend if you are pregnant or nursing.

The combination of aromatherapy oils and heat is not advisable.

Your hair needs to be 1/4 inch minimum. This would take 3–4 weeks normal growing time.

Consult with your esthetician before treatment to discuss your options, new offerings, and what might best benefit you. Please let her know if you prefer more massage, or if you want your pores thoroughly purged. It’s easier for her to meet your needs if you tell her what you want. Your esthetician will also make you aware of any extra charges associated with additional services that you might request. Our service menu is always available for your price checks.

I forgot to book waxing. Can I get it done during my facial?

You never know until you ask. Once you get into the room with your esthetician, let her know your needs. If she has time, she will absolutely accommodate you.

Do I have to talk to my massage therapist or esthetician?

If you feel like chatting, go ahead. If you don’t, lie down and zone out! They will let you be their guide — but especially with your massage, you’ll enjoy simple quiet relaxation.

Should I tip? What’s normal?

Leaving gratuities for work well done seems to be the norm, but of course, is optional. Most tips range from 15%–20% of the price of the service provided.
